It has been a long time since my last post. Sorry about that! I forget how busy the Spring is and how it's the end-of-the-year this and the final of that. And even though I'd like this to be a thoughtful post, it is likely to be short as I have to go sell a few Slushies at the school concession stand! Don't even want to think of what's in those...
So, let's do updates:
- Training... It's going great. My addiction to running has never been stronger and I'm seeing my training times getting better. I might be an official group #1 member now... A back-of-the-pack group one member but group #1 is faster than group #2. I hope that I don't offend anyone by this! I'm still running long in preparation for Easter Island. I've got 20 miles to go on Saturday so I hope that all of the path water stations are open!
- I've been working on creating letterhead, business cards, donation card and my 'please help me by donating' letter. It's really coming together as it looks both professional and fun. I hope to get the letters out next week before leaving for Chile!
- I have a friend helping me design a web page and I can't thank her enough! Go Cheryl!
So now that the Spring pollen may be over -- I say 'may' because I keep thinking that the last surge is really the last -- and before the heat and humidity begins -- though it's really not too bad -- we're in for some of our most enjoyable Washington running weather! Everything is beautiful and green and happy. What a great day for a run....
Cheers! RunningBrooke
